We are going to Florida in a month.
Wait...WE ARE GOING TO FLORIDA IN ONE MONTH!
Needless to say, I'm beginning to panic. It's our first vacation together, we're driving there (from New England), and we have not made any reservations yet. He doesn't own a single pair of shorts, and neither of us have bathing suits. And the thing that is the most stressful...none of this bothers him. "Don't worry...we have a whole month." He says. Don't Worry? These words alone make me want to rip my hair out. It's right up there with Calm down and I know you just went to the store but...we're out of milk. There are a few things we do know though.
We know what day we are leaving.
We know that our cat is going to stay with my parents, and will hopefully get along with their Cairn Terrier.
We know which hotel we'd LIKE to stay in. It's just the small matter of whether or not they are fully booked by now.
We know that we will stay in the Orlando area for 9 nights, and then go stay with his grandparents for a few days.
We also know that we want to spend 4 days in Disney World. And one day in both Universal and SeaWorld.
We also know not to stress out about seeing everything. Reason 1 being that it's impossible. Reason 2 being that we really want to be one of those families that go to Disney World every 3 or 4 years.
We still need to
Book the hotel room.
Have our car re-inspected to make sure everything is in good shape.
Order our park tickets (the online pre-ordering discount is much larger than the military discount, strangely enough).
Buy clothes, and other things we'll need.
And a million other small things.
In 30 or so days we'll be here:
Actually...we'll probably be here:
But you know what I mean.
